Since 2000, the DVZO has taken over the ownership of the segment between Bauma and Bäretswil and operates as a fully licensed railway company. The society also possesses the right to organize and run special charter trains throughout Switzerland.

All active members of the society, including those carrying out maintenance on rolling stock and permanent way, work on a voluntary basis in their free time, so that you are able to experience the romanticism of rail travel from a bygone age for family-friendly prices.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Want to be a Member?

The DVZO is a living heritage society, engaged in making the past more accessible. This is made all the more possible through our members, both those who take an active role as well as those taking a more passive role, in bringing together their passion and commitment to help in the running of an actual railway. From getting «into the thick of it» to one-off financial contributions, we warmly welcome all forms of support. We are looking forward to welcoming you on board!
